Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy describes what you may and may not do when using RentSet. By using RentSet, you agree to comply with this policy.

Prohibited Activities

You must not use RentSet to:

• Fraud: Misrepresent rental terms, equipment condition, or payment status to renters, payment providers, or other parties.
• Misrepresenting used machines as new: You must accurately represent the condition, age, and history of any appliance you rent. Do not list used or refurbished machines as new.
• Illegal discrimination: You must not discriminate against applicants based on race, color, religion, sex, familial status, national origin, disability, or any other protected class under fair housing and civil rights laws.
• Collecting unnecessary sensitive identity data: Do not collect Social Security numbers, full date of birth, bank account numbers, or other sensitive identifiers unless strictly necessary and legally required. RentSet's application form does not request such data.
• Harassment: Do not use RentSet's communication features to harass, threaten, or coerce renters, applicants, or team members.
• False payment records: Do not mark payments as verified when they have not been confirmed. Stripe Connect card payments are confirmed automatically by Stripe; for optional external or manual methods, you must verify the payment in your provider before marking it paid. Do not bypass this step.
• Uploading unlawful content: Do not upload photographs or documents that are unlawful, infringing, harassing, or contain prohibited content.
• Unauthorized access: Do not attempt to access other businesses' data, share your secure access tokens, or circumvent RentSet's access controls.
• Illegal rental operations: Do not use RentSet for rental operations that are illegal in your jurisdiction, including unlicensed appliance rentals where licensing is required.

Consequences of Violation

Violations of this policy may result in account suspension, termination, or legal action. We reserve the right to remove content, disable features, or close accounts that violate this policy.

Reporting Violations

To report a violation of this policy, submit a support ticket with details of the alleged violation.
